LOOKING FOR A LONDON WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner…
Well, that’s a lie. I’m not a Londoner at all, but I do love our fair capital and shooting a wedding there is always fun. The vibe, the energy…there’s nowhere like it. I’m not a city boy but this is one city that always captures my imagination. I got in a cab once and the cabbie actually asked me, “Where to, Treacle?” Amazing. I’m only an hour and a half away so I never mind the journey.
I shoot weddings there all the time, there are so many eclectic venues to choose from. I’ve shot in a brewery, on a canal boat and inside an incredible art gallery to name a few. There are almost too many to recommend, but here are a few of my faves:
Kew Gardens: a stunning sweep of Royal Botanic Gardens and a World Heritage Site to boot, a wedding here is quirky, elegant and supports vital plant conservation and scientific research. Bonus.
Old Finsbury Town Hall: an inspiring and visually stunning venue that by day is a dance school. It will bring old school glamour and prestige to your wedding day.
The Ivy Chelsea Gardens: a stone’s throw from Chelsea Town Hall, this could be London’s best kept secret when it comes to wedding venues. A luxurious, discreetly hidden garden sits off of London’s desirable King’s Road. The vibe is relaxed yet oh so sophisticated. Take your wedding reception to the The Private Room, adorned with colourful vintage botanical prints and sumptuous floral artwork.
Wilton’s Music Hall: Now we’re talking. Built way back in 1859, Wilton’s is an epic, vintage delight for the senses. It’s been home to stars of music hall, variety, screen and even the odd music video, so ticks all the Victoriana boxes.
I am…
Shooting weddings in London all the time
A recommended supplier at a whole load of local venues
A proper photojournalistic snapper
Into taking “real” photos of real people
A believer in natural and unposed images
Seriously good fun to have around
I am not…
Going to make you pose or pull silly faces
The type to try and stage a great shot
Going to miss a thing at your wedding
Going to call you Geezer in a mock London accent

“Hands down the best decision we made about the wedding was asking you to be our photographer.”
Jess & Erjan
The big smoke is home to some of the most spectacular wedding venues in the UK:
Horniman Museum & Gardens: For elegant Victorian style, there’s not much that surpasses this hidden gem in South London. A Grade II listed building, the museum and gardens is tucked away in Forest Hill and boasts a restored cast iron conservatory which makes for ace photos.
The Barbican: Ooohh, I love a bit of brutalism. If you’re looking for a venue that’s both heritage-heavy yet contemporary, this London institution is for you. They hold the weddings in their conservatory, a lush tropical oasis that’s home to exotic fish and 2,000 species of tropical plants.
So if you’re looking for a London wedding photographer please do check my availability and request an eBrochure.
I limit my diary to around 30 weddings per year, so don’t drag your feet- hit me up using the buttons below.
