Owlpen Manor wedding photos | Lisa & Andy
Lisa & Andy met on the infamous Tinder; a swipe and a ‘Hello’ and Lisa was all Andy’s! Hehe. They moved in together shortly after and, amidst decorating and carpeting their flat, Andy proposed with breakfast in bed one Spring morning. It was a TOTAL surprise for Lisa and, let’s just say, the breakfast did not get eaten that morning. Salacious! 😉
Marquee, countryside, English flower gardens, informal and fun day for all basically sums this awesome wedding celebration. Andy found some inspiration for home-made chandeliers, which were designed as three staggered, filament lamps hung along the centre of the marquee. They really made the marquee come alive! I loved the clusters of wild flowers along the tables and hung from the sides of the marquee, it was very simple but really pretty and oh so classy.
Why choose Owlpen Manor as your wedding venue?
“We had looked at a couple of venues and wanted somewhere which was a little bit different and could facilitate having family and the wedding party on site so we could make a real weekend of it. Owlpen Manor is just a gorgeous, hidden gem nestled in the Cotswolds’ countryside and we both fell in love with the setting. It felt like it was secret and all ours for the weekend!”
What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding day?
“Give yourself a minute to step back and look around you on the day – it goes so quickly and goes by in a blur! Don’t underestimate how nervous you will be on the day! Pick your venue right and the rest is easier!”
