This review can be summed up in three simple words: BOOK JONNY NOW.We met Jonny at a close friend’s wedding four years ago, he was absolutely brilliant and the photos were incredible - we have had an epic shot he took of us up on our library wall since then. When we got engaged, we knew we couldn’t have anyone else photograph our wedding, and so we couldn’t believe our luck that Jonny was free on our, very last minute, date.We wanted chilled, unfussy, personal, arty, documentary style epic photography - enter Jonny.The whole process leading up to the wedding was brilliant, Jonny totally got the vibe and really helped up visualise our day (and keep us chilled). Where do I even begin! From start to finish, Jonny has been the most outstanding person to work with! After stumbling upon his website we instantly loved his informal, documentary style photos and instantly booked him for our wedding. Communication was excellent- with two video calls throughout the process to discuss our vision. This meant that Jonny could turn up on the day and knew exactly how/where to get the best shots! Jonny was punctual, professional, he looked the part and everyone really enjoyed his friendly and relaxed approach! For full transparency: we haven't had our photos back yet because our wedding was only a couple of days ago - will edit this review when they come in.Jonny was actually the first vendor we booked - we selected our wedding date around his availability.My husband hates getting his photo taken and he hates having to pose for endless family photos, to the point where he didn't want a photographer at our wedding at all. Of course, there was no world in which that was going to happen. So instead I asked him: if I can find a documentary style photographer, who won't make you pose for hours with every single family member, who you'll barely even notice is there - can we book them?We found Jonny and the rest is history. Since I haven't got photos yet I'll focus on Jonny as a person: he's super communicative, incredibly friendly, and so on top of everything. When we booked him he sent us a wedding pack in the post full of Q&As and things we can expect. Ahead of the day itself we had a skype call where we talked through every image we definitely wanted and where he asked us about any concerns we may have - photography related or not. Having him around on the wedding day made things feel a bit easier, because you had a true pro there with you and even if you didn't know what to expect you knew you were in safe hands.And the icing on the cake: my husband loved having Jonny around so much that he said I was right for insisting on photos.Thanks so much Jonny for being you!EDIT (5 hours after posting this - he's a speedy one Jonny!): Saw our teasers today and wow - definitely worth every single penny. He really captured our silliness, which is EXACTLY what we'd hoped for.
