KEW GARDENS – A FABULOUSLY FLORAL AFFAIR

Kew Gardens are just the prettiest. These world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens and buildings are unlike anything you’ve ever seen, plus it’s all within easy reach (thirty minutes!) of Central London. Winner!

I’m insanely proud to be a recommended supplier for this glorious venue and always enjoy my days here.

There are four gorgeous, well-pruned places to get married at this iconic venue and they look a bit like this:

Cambridge Cottage

The intimate option. It’s all kinds of boutique loveliness, you can hold your civil ceremony in the Drawing Room (up to 80 guests) then move to the adjoining Gallery – home to some of Kew’s finest botanical artwork – for dinner. The Drawing Room and Gallery open onto the picturesque and secluded Duke’s Garden which is a photographer’s dream. You can exchange your vows in the French doors of the Drawing Room, with your guests looking on from the Duke’s Garden. D-REAMY.

Nash Conservatory

I LOVE a greenhouse wedding, the light is always insane. With floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, the Nash Conservatory provides sooo much natural daylight for your wedding ceremony and is licensed for civil ceremonies for up to an impressive 200 guests. The Nash Conservatory and lawn also works a treat for pre-dinner drinks before moving to the Orangery for dinner and dancing.

The Orangery

The large, open plan design of the Orangery makes it a super quirky choice. With high ceilings and fancy arched windows, the room is filled with natural light (I know, I’m obsessed). If you’re hankering after a summer wedding, their large terrace offers spectacular views of the Gardens themselves.

Temperate House

The big one. Kew’s newly opened Temperate House is a glistening cathedral housing 10,000 plants, making it a pretty arresting sight. It can squeeze in a whopping 270 guests for a seated dinner amidst a tropical rain forest of vibrant botanical brilliance, and up to 300 for a standing reception. It’s the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world. With pitched roofs and pillars supporting wrought-iron ribs, the House has a mix of decorative motifs, finials, pediments, acanthus leaf capitals, stone urns and statues. So if that’s your thing, you’re in luck.
