KINGSCOTE BARN WEDDING VENUE NESTLED IN A SECRET COTSWOLD VALLEY
Choosing a wedding venue is one of the most important decisions you will make in the run-up to your big day. It’s also most likely the first decision you’ll make on your wedding adventure. It dictates everything from the ambience to the decor to the fun that everyone has! If you’re looking for a venue that will be exclusively yours, The Kingscote Barn near Tetbury does not disappoint.
This is a privately-owned and award-winning barn, which is nestled in the Cotswold Hills, boasting its very own secret valley. You will struggle to find anywhere as romantic and enchanting as this, and of course, it allows for the most beautiful wedding photographs!
The cosy gallery can seat up to 150 guests, offering a high vaulted ceiling and stunning chandeliers. It is also perfect for intimate weddings. If the British weather allows it, you could get married in the beautiful oak Linhay and spacious gardens. This is a truly romantic setting, with the ceremony overlooking the magical valley. The picturesque secret valley adds an element of charm and enchantment to the wedding proceedings. It’s a serene and stunning location, which is picture perfect!
I have taken a lot of wedding shots and rustic photos here over the seasons, from cosy winter weddings with twinkling candles and fairy lights to elegant and relaxed summer weddings. There are lots of fantastic photo opportunities, including group photos on the lawn and tender shots in the rose garden.
I recommend taking a look at some of the photos of the scenery at The Kingscote Barn. It gives you a glimpse of what you can expect, and being there in person is even more incredible.
I’M INSANELY PROUD TO BE A RECOMMENDED PHOTOGRAPHER!
ONSITE ACCOMMODATION TO RELAX AND UNWIND
Kingscote Barn weddings mean you don’t have to worry about organising accommodation. The venue provides a range of accommodation, which is just a stone’s throw away from the barn.
Tallet House is an impressive barn conversion, which includes the honeymoon suite, as well as three other deluxe double en-suite bedrooms.
The Byre is a luxury apartment adjoining The Tallet House, with two double en-suite bedrooms. There is then Spring Cottage, which sleeps eight guests, Shepherds Hut, offering a romantic stay for two, The Tree House Suite, and Eco Pods for those who want to keep in touch with the natural landscape.

A RELAXED & UNPOSED PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE
The way I like to shoot is almost entirely unposed and I have very little influence on the day. There’s no barking orders or asking anything of you other than to have fun and enjoy every second. Rest assured, I certainly will not be posing you. Instead, I prefer to be in the moment and capture everything as it unfolds naturally in front of me. For me, capturing the emotion and details of a wedding is best done without bossing people around or setting up loads of equipment. I allow my couples to forget about the photography, to relax and to enjoy their weddings without being bothered by a photographer!
Couples book me because they like that approach and they love photography. Simple as that. So if you are passionate about your wedding photography and you’re getting married at The Kingscote Barn (or any other wedding venue) then please get in touch to tell me your plans, especially if you are looking for a natural photographer who shoots in a documentary fashion.

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN BOOKING THE BARN
Kingscote Barn is literally up the road from my house, door to door it’s only a couple of miles! Now, I may be biased as I live in such close proximity but I can 100% vouch for this beautiful venue. The barn is secluded and well hidden from the road. As you turn off the main road and head down the drive it does indeed feel like your own private Cotswold valley. “We fell in love with the Barn at first sight” is a phrase I’ve heard many couples say. Believe me, it’s hard not to. Its rural location is what makes it so special and the picturesque landscape and ever so professional team make it a popular choice above many other venues.
It’s worth bearing in mind that, whilst this rural venue does have a good amount of onsite accommodation, it’s unlikely to be able to provide beds for all your guests. There are, however, plenty of accommodation options within a few miles of the area so it’s worth a thought on the logistics of getting guests to and from the Barn. Some couples put on transport (a coach or taxi runs) to take everyone to and from the venue, so everyone can drink and relax. I know the Kingscote Barn team are only ever too happy to help with this aspect of the day and can suggest various options that best suit you.
Hiring the Barn means you’ll be allocated a dedicated wedding coordinator to help and assist with the planning of the day. Couples can have access to the barn in the morning to allow time for themselves to decorate to their chosen theme. Many couples do this themselves or hire a stylist and florist to arrange this for them. Get in touch with me for a list of fantastic local suppliers that I can recommend.
