“We instantly clicked with Jonny, he was unobtrusive yet managed to capture everything amazingly. All the pictures were so natural and relaxed.”
Dordogne Wedding Photos | France
Oli & Rach met at Warehouse Project in Manchester. Rach was living in London and Oli was living in Leeds at the time. Oli started messaging Rach on Facebook following this and they both met up in London the following weekend and every other weekend after that. The rest is history. Fast forward to their wedding day, the most important thing for them was to have a really relaxed vibe with good food, good wine and some french sunshine! Here the adventure their own words..
Chateau Soulac wedding venue
The venue Chateau Soulac was the most idyllic setting for our special day. We had access to the old stables which were full of wedding decorations from photo booth props to candles to parasols for guests to use during the ceremony. There were lanterns hanging in the trees which looked beautiful as night fell.
We took a risk and booked it initially online before going to see it in person but we had faith in our wedding planner when she told us it was a beautiful venue. We were blown away when we went to visit it and it got us so excited for the big day. The stunning views of the Dordogne round the back of Chateau Soulac made it the perfect location for champagne and canapes.
Pronovias wedding dress.
The dress was by Pronovias from the London flagship store on Bond Street. I ended up spending over my budget but I fell in love with it instantly when I put it on. I like the way that it is classic but the cut of the front and sides gives it a modern edge.
Advice for those planning their wedding day?
We were very lucky that the celebrations were spread across 3 days – (we had drinks on the Friday evening and a BBQ and pool party on the Sunday), this meant we didn’t feel under pressure to speak to everyone on the day of the wedding and we could just relax and enjoy the moment. I would really recommend doing this.
It’s a cliché answer, but pause and take it all in particularly during the speech look around and see the smiles on everyone’s faces.
