Marcel and Caroline’s wedding at Cripps Barn was everything a Cotswolds celebration should be — relaxed, full of warmth, and completely focused on the people who mattered most. Set in the heart of the countryside, their day blended rustic charm with genuine, unforced moments, making it a joy to photograph from start to finish.

Marcel is Swiss, and although he and Caroline now live in Switzerland, the Cotswolds has always felt like home to Caroline, it’s where she grew up and where much of her family still lives. Choosing to get married here felt deeply personal and meaningful.
When I met up with them in London ahead of the wedding for their engagement shoot, it was immediately clear just how hectic their lives are. Caroline’s work takes her all over the world, and she’s rarely in one place for long. When we met, she had only just stepped off a flight and was spending the day in London before travelling on to Thailand.
Knowing how little time Caroline gets to spend with her family made it obvious just how precious this wedding day was to them. Their Cripps Barn celebration wasn’t about formality or grandeur — it was about bringing family and friends together in one place, slowing everything down, and truly making the most of that time.
