“Natural photos which captured the day as we remember it without us even noticing you were there! You were relaxed, easy to work with & fitted in great with our guests.”

Amy & Matt met as neighbours in their apartment building in Kelham Island, Sheffield. Matt proposed under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco after carrying a ring around in his wallet for 2 weeks whilst on a trip through Iceland and the West coast America! Here’s their wedding day adventure in their own words:
Chateau les Merles is the perfect destination wedding venue in France. It’s a home for home. Superb service, delicious cuisine and beautiful surroundings. We discovered it on day one of a weekend trip viewing potential venues and never went anywhere else. We knew we had found our perfect venue! Music is really important to us and the band we booked live and work in the French Riviera but a few of them come from Barnsley – where we live! They performed at a work event in St Tropes a few years ago, so I took their card knowing I’d always wanted to get married in southern France. Before they started we jived to Chuck Berry – You never can tell 🙂
My dress was elegant, lightweight and comfortable by designer Ellis Bridal. Purchased at Limelight Bridal in Huddersfield. Matt wore a Hugo boss suit with Joesph Cheaney shoes and belt.
The only advice I can offer future brides is to just relax and enjoy your day, be prepared but also be prepared to just let things go on the day and enjoy it. If there’s anything that isn’t quite right you and your guests probably won’t even notice on the day! Do things just for you – not because it’s how it’s usually done or how others would want it.
The biggest surprise we had on our wedding day was the weather! 36 degrees was much hotter than we could ever have imagined!
