A Chateau Durantie Wedding is guaranteed to deliver granduer. French grandeur. In abundance. I personally was blown away by the impressive Chateau and it’s breathtaking surroundings and so it is only too understandable why anyone would want to get married there. The Chateau is one word luxury. From the marbled en-suite bathrooms to the valuable antiques which decorate every room. You can’t help but feel like master of the house! The reason I was there- to shoot my first French wedding and boy did this place set the bar high.
Photographing my first French Wedding
Here’s the story of Ian & Laura’s pre-wedding photo shoot, taken the day before their Chateau Durantie wedding. I was fresh off the plane having flown to Bergerac and driven for an hour or so amongst rolling green hills and passing what seems like one hundred castles through the Dordogne valley. I pull up to a long driveway praying the sat-nav has taken me to the right location. I hear laughter and tunes blaring from a sound system. I see happy faces and booze and food.
