“Wow, wow, wow! Thank you so much! We absolutely love the photos and we’re so glad we chose you to capture our special day. We’ve been through the photos many, many times with friends and family who all love them too.”
Why choose Castelnau des Fieumarcon wedding venue France?
I was lucky enough to photograph Laura & Jon’s Summer destination wedding at this beautiful venue. I asked them what exactly it was that made them fall in love with this place. Laura said “We wanted sunshine, something a bit different and for all our guests to be together across a weekend. We had fallen in love with this historic region of France after holidaying there the summer before, and so after a bit of research we found the perfect venue for us. I never thought we’d be hiring a hilltop French medieval village! The best part was we didn’t have to leave for the 3 days!”
Aside from being a unique and beautiful place to get married, there are also so many things to see and do here. The village is packed full of historical sights, and there’s a story behind everything. You can go on tours around the area, sampling some of the best food and wine money can buy.
Speaking of which, there are top-class restaurants all over the place! You’re advised to stay here for a good few days so you can take in the local cuisine. Nom nom!
If you’re planning a destination wedding, then this could be the perfect wedding venue for you. Before you pack your bags and jet off to this lovely area of France, there are a few key considerations to take into account.
How do I get to Castelnau des Fieumarcon?
Castelnau des Fieumarcon wedding venue France, a once a thriving medieval village, is now one of the most beautiful wedding venues you’ll ever see. Located in Gascony, you have the privilege to rent out an entire town for a grandiose setting. Exceptional views are provided by the stunning natural landscape, and there are so many unique destinations within this setting that make it ideal for couples looking to get married abroad.
However, destination weddings come with lots of practical worries. The key one is, how will you and your guests get to Castelnau des Fieumarcon? Well, the nearest airport is Toulouse, and you can fly there with EasyJet from Gatwick airport – and a few others in the UK. From here, you’ve got around a 90-minute drive to get to your dream destination venue. So, it’s probably worth renting a few cars, maybe some of your guests can carshare to save money.
Picturesque French wedding venue with accommodation
The beauty of this venue is that it comes with ample accommodation for big wedding parties. There’s an entire township of 14 houses that sleep up to 80 guests. These houses are very traditional and stylish, bringing out the best in old French style. They’re wonderfully romantic, and the bride and groom obviously get the first choice.
All of the houses come with a series of amenities, such as bed linen, shower products, pool towels, tea-making facilities, hairdryers, and even home-made jam in the kitchens! You can request additional services as well, like maid cleaning or a private chef.
Where Will The Actual Wedding Be Held?
There are plenty of indoor and outdoor locations around Castelnau des Fieumarcon that you can choose for the wedding itself. Some of the indoor ones are located in old castle buildings with authentic halls decorated with the finest brickwork. However, the crème de la crème ceremony spot is a 13th Century church, beautifully renovated, and with enough space for 180 bums on seats. Heads up, permission for ceremonies must be sought from the local Parish. Your French not quite fluent? Don’t worry there’s French and English speaking priests available.
That said, a lot of couples opt for outdoor weddings as the scenery is just majestic. You will celebrate with up to 180 guests in a spacious outdoor facility decorated with little lights and romantic touches. You’ll be treated to wide-open views of the stunning hills and fields, showing the best sights the French countryside has to offer.
