“All the special moments captured naturally! Jonny was perfect at getting the photos without taking us away from our special day. He is one of the loveliest people we have ever met and so easy to get along with. He totally put us at ease! A true professional and a total diamond.”
Boreham House wedding photography inspiration | Jess & Erjan
Wedding inspiration for us was the Combination of English and Turkish with a sprinkle of Hollywood Glam. We wanted it to be Simple, elegant and classy- not too much fuss. Ivory, gold and navy was our colour scheme. Understated but effective. Sometimes you don’t need fuss to make something look beautiful. Ferraro Roche is an all time favourite so we had a tower of 350 of them! We really wanted Fireworks at our wedding. When we found the venue we knew it would be perfect over the big lake at the front of Boreham House.
Why choose Boreham house wedding venue in Essex?
The venue is absolutely stunning. It blew us away driving down the long drive, we hadn’t even been in the house yet! The house is immaculate and the grounds are stunning. Perfect as we had a lot of guests, we needed to be able to invite up to 300!
Tell us about the wedding dress.
I tried on what felt like 100 dresses, but when I found the one I just knew it. A ‘Dando London’ dress called ‘The Hampstead’. All my bridesmaids and my Mother burst into tears! Perfect for an elegant bride but also to have a party and enjoy myself. Classy and elegant and I felt like a princess all day. I bought it from a shop in Essex called Confetti and Lace. Groom’s attire? A posh suit shop in Epping tailor made Erjan’s attire. A navy blue suit and and white shirt made to perfection by a tailor. He wore the Cartier cuff-links I bought him for his 30th. All the bridesmaid’s dresses were from a shop in Abergavenny in Wales and are called ‘Two Birds’. They were Navy blue and you can tie them lots of different ways. Shoes were from ASOS.
Advice for those getting married?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. The things that you think matter so much just don’t. Focus on just having everyone you love in one place all celebrating with you. Try to take in the day as much as possible as it goes by so quick! This one day is planned for so long and before you know it you are on the way to your honeymoon. It takes a few days to process it all. Write loads of lists and delegate. Everyone is happy to help to be a part of your special day. The biggest surprise on our wedding day? The mixture of our English and Turkish families all dancing to the different types of music and enjoying the different cultural aspects. It really was the bringing together of 2 families.
