A look back at the past 12 months
The past 12 months of creating alternative wedding photography have flown by! I seem to remember the year started in Cyprus with a traditional Greek wedding on a beach and ended in Hertfordshire seeing in 2018 with a New Year’s Eve wedding party. What happened in between? Well there’s been boutique hotels, French chateaus, Cotswold hideaways, London restaurants, marquees, barns and all manor of, well, Manor houses.
Yep, last year was most certainly a blur. So many celebrations and service stations. Canapes & motorways. Thousands of images captured and hundreds of hours editing them on the clock.
For all of that I am VERY grateful.
Each one of the weddings has been unique with one common denominator, an incredibly trusting couple. The privilege of being invited to capture a life defining event never escapes me. The brides and grooms and all the fabulous suppliers I’ve had the honour to work with this year have yet again been the reason I LOVE what I get to do.
A HUGE thank you to each and every one of you.
My priority for 2018 will be to continue to focus on the real moments. I think one real moment captured will always trump a hundred technically ‘perfect’ looking images.
2017 Thanks for coming and thanks for having me.
