Robyn & Tim met at work and it didn’t take long for them to become friends and to start hanging out. Moving in together after only 6 weeks they spent every minute of every day together. A few years passed. Along with house moves and a few holidays in between before a ring was secretly bought. Plus a birthday trip to Prague for Robyn. Tim had it all planned out! It would be night time, over looking some scenic view and he’d pop the question. However, it didn’t pan out that way. Atop the Astronomical Clock over looking Prague Castle, everything lit by only the night sky. Reaching to unzip his pocket with the aim that when Robyn turned back from the telescope he’d be there, on one knee holding the box aloft. Cue the zip getting stuck and Robyn proceeding to wander off ignorant of any proposal. Perturbed, it wasn’t until the following morning in their hotel room Tim found the courage to try again. She said yes (of course) but when Tim suggested they head back to the view point Robyn’s response was “There’s only so many times you can look at a castle through a telescope”. True dat!
Tim used to be a fire performer and a few years ago he performed at Alnwick Treehouse. They have both loved it there ever since. And I can see why, I mean, have you seen this venue? It’s absolutely magical.

The main priority when planning our wedding day was definitely food. If we’re planning an event then you can guarantee there is going to be a belting meal. Goats cheese, pork belly and deconstructed french vanilla cheese cake.
Incorporating our personal style into the wedding was easy. Finding inspiration from one of our favourite films, which just so happens to be one of the most romantic films ever produced.
I chose a Brighton Belle dress. It is a Ballerina style with a sweet hearth neckline. The dress was exactly what I wanted and I fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on. The style of the dress was chosen because I don’t like the whole marshmallow/toilet brush look and I didn’t want to be dragging half the dress across the floor. Plus I feel it fit perfectly with the whole treehouse wedding vibe.
Alnwick Treehouse Wedding Photographer
We wanted our wedding shot in a street photography/photo journalistic way. Capturing moments as they happen rather than having a lot of awkward posed images that were unnatural. Browsing through photographers we stumbled upon Jonny and found ourselves instantly captivated by his style. We found him on Instagram and must have sat in silence scrolling through years of Jonny’s life before, without debate, agreeing that he was going to be our photographer for the wedding.
Working with Jonny was a breeze as he’s laid back and up for a laugh. In most ways he’s very much on the same level as ourselves, while always upholding a completely professional approach to the day.
